THE FEATURED PATIENT
Every few months, in this section, we will feature a very
special patient that has recently battled against a very serious
ailment.
Duncan is a tiny 4 lb. Yorkie who is only 13 months old, and this was as much as he could stand. He has a congenital deformity which went uncorrected. His kneecaps are on the inside of his legs, facing inward, and the muscles have grown on the wrong side, so he could not straighten up any more than what you see in the picture below. He has NEVER been able to sit!
Thanks to the efforts of SOS DOGS and surgery done by Dr. Lindquist, Duncan has made incredible progress! He is standing straighter and walking on both legs. See how great he looks below!
